"The Great American Rock Show" is a tribute to the music of the great American classic rock artists & bands who came of age particularly in the late 60s & 70's. Legends like Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Bob Seger, John (Cougar) Mellencamp, Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR), Bob Dylan, The Doors & more. As most music fans well know, "Tribute" bands have been very popular over the past 10 years or so but the gist of what they do is performing the songs with the sound & look of one particular band or artist- ie 2U (U2), Backstreets (Springsteen), Big Shot (Billy Joel) & so forth. While these bands are for the most part very authentic recreations of the original artists, "GACRS" is about the variety of music within a genre - in this case Classic American Rock & Roll.
